The very first date I took my sweetheart on was to the Dutch Frontier Restaurant for dinner. It was so much more than I had ever expected. "Somewhere in in time" kept going through my head as a beautiful lady in a victorian gown greeted us and showed us to our table. My sweet heart beamed across the table at me as I'm sure I was at her. What a Romantically perfect setting this truly was, even the butter pats were shaped like tiny rose buds on white doilies. Everything was perfect, the food was exquisite and there has never been such service, you never had to ask for anything. Since that first date my wife and I have been back to the Dutch Frontier on many of our anniversaries and other special occasions and we have just made our reservations for April 10th 2010 so that we can feel the romance of our very first date once again in this special place of ours. This will be our 30th wedding Anniversary celebration...Our kids will have to pick another day to celebrate with us because this nite belongs to us!
When so many things in our lives change it's nice to know that some good things don't. (except for the butter pats. ha)

My wife and I have eaten in the finest steak houses in America and the honest truth is this is the best we have ever had. If you enjoy Ruth's Chris, Mortons, Flemings, Chophouse, Sparks or any other high end steak house then you will be blown away by the Dutch Frontier. It really is that good. Service is superb. Wine selection is superb. Ambience is interesting, it's a strange setting for such an outstanding restaurant, but it only adds to the appeal. Is it expensive? Yes, but no more expensive than any of the above mentioned steak houses. You won't be dissapointed. We never are when we visit the Dutch Frontier.

Thank you, Dutch Frontier, for making our 30th wedding anniversary a memorable occasion. We drove 1 hr. 20 mins. one way to reach you but it was well worth the trip. Your family/serving staff are beautiful, friendly and efficient and you should be proud of them. Our leisurely meal was beyond delicious, the table setting was beautiful, and we felt pretty special just being there in a romantic and intimate atmosphere. What a terrific place for a special occasion (or any time). Thank you.

Absolutely outstanding: Quality, 5-star service & exclusivity are the best terms to describe The Dutch Frontier Restaurant. The beef is Kansas City prime, the lobster is from Australia & the cooking, presentation & portion size is perfect. This is one of those restaurants where you can have a romantic date, an impressive business dinner or a special night out for family and friends. The ambiance is quiet, private, and conducive to an intimate night out. The customer service from the time you step through the door is personal & friendly, yet unobtrusive. Service is so proficient that I didn't notice when my wine glass & water glass were filled. The course-by-course timing of our dinner was exceptional. Considering the ala carte menus of Morton's, Flemings & Ruth's Chris, the "bang for the buck" of The Dutch Frontier is right on target. I found the wine list to be niche'y & had some of our favorites, such as Far Niente, Silver Oak & BV Georges de Latour. The homemade New York-style cheesecake capped off a perfect night out. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

Wonderful place with great atmosphere!: It may be a little expensive, but it is very worth the drive and the price! The decor is amazing and the player piano just adds to the romantic atmosphere. The food is phenomenal and the service leaves nothing to desire.

Excellent: A little out of the way. This is a hidden gem. in the least likely of places. They are only open on weekends and you must have a reservation,as the doors are always locked. But for the ultimate in romantic dining and 1st class service. this place is one you'll not regret.
